Duomo (Cathedral)

The most famous city landmark in Milan Italy is undoubtedly its gorgeous gothic cathedral or "Duomo".  Its official name is the "Duomo di Milano".

Located next to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan's elegant shopping complex, the 14th century Duomo will impress any visitor to Milan.

There are some 135 spires mounted on the cathedral rooftop and many beautiful sculptures embedded into its facade.

The Duomo museum can be found on Piazza del Duomo next to the cathedral.
